Leaders at Bear Claw Events like to keep their teams motivated. They will push them and make their high expectations known. However, as with all firms, we need to ease off the gas pedal now and then so that our associates have time to absorb what they learned and get some rest. Burning out our team members does not help clients or grow our business. That is why Bear Claw Events sponsors the 2015 National Rest & Relaxation Retreat. Taking place in January at the Hard Rock Hotel in Cancun, team members earn the opportunity to spend one week enjoying the beach and an award ceremony. While there are no heavy obligations, there are team building and networking opportunities around the enjoyment of sun and surf. We will announce the lucky attendees soon! When companies realizes the advantages of rest is their organization, they’re bound to get ahead, yet our culture in general looks down on giving ourselves time to recharge. Some manipulate work ethic to mean pushing themselves until they drop or their health suffers. The demands of modern life do nothing to discourage this. As such, too many neglect their health and will often not face the problem until they face a mental or physical crisis. Allowing rest before bad impacts occur is prevention that supports productivity. Fortunately, addressing this issue does not require a long vacation. Allowing yourself recovery time is often a matter of taking breaks from your work by taking a quick walk or time to stretch. Start a yoga practice, go hiking this weekend, or spend quality time with fun and mindless novels as you listen to your favorite music. Both your mind and body will appreciate it.
