We encourage unity at Bear Claw Events by cultivating a supportive atmosphere. Part of this is through team activities that help associates relate to one another better. This ensures not only exceptional services to clients but seamless operation in our office. “One way we develop team bonding is through team nights,” explains director of operations, Matt. “It may look like all fun and games, and that is part of it. But it also helps people work together and learn management skills.” The latest team night occurred at Dave and Buster’s. Associates competed in a friendly bowling match. Logan reigned supreme after last month’s competition but faced defeat at this recent outing. In a close game up to the tenth frame, Aubrey and Matt battled it out until Poppa Bear emerged as the winner. While the whole exchange may appear frivolous, Matt sees learning and development: “In this bowling game, we competed but also supported the one who emerged successful. We pushed each other to the best of our ability. The game remained fun and friendly, so we also got to know each other outside the work environment. All these lessons can be taken back to the office.” The next outing involves thrill seeking and risk taking within the context of an amusement park. Team members get to enjoy the monster roller coasters at Carowinds. Matt says that the team cannot wait for this next event! Are your team members relating well? If there is conflict, or worse, indifference, consider a team night to help them see one another in a different light. Allow relationship building outside the office truly benefits dynamics within the workplace.
